The Virtual Office is an online service for Hivos partner organisations or prospective partners who wish to apply for Hivos funding. The Office contains an online self-assessment test, an online application procedure and background information on Hivos funding.
On this website you can find information about the Hivos facts of funding, criteria and submit an application. You can carry out an online self-assessment to find out if your organisation is in principle eligible for Hivos support. As a development agency Hivos strives to be client oriented. We have created this virtual office to improve communication with our potential and current partner organisations working in the South and East.
Facts of Hivos funding
Hivos funding is approved for specific activities, programmes or organisations as a whole. Organisational funding is a signal of confidence and trust in the partner, based on quality and fruitful co-operation. Read more about the facts and rules of Hivos funding.
The Virtual Office contains an online self-assessment test in order to find out if your organisation is eligible for Hivos funding. If you pass this test successfully, you can go on to fill in Application Form A. If your proposal has been assessed as being interesting, you will be asked to fill in Application Form B.
The general criteria
Hivos funding is bound by a number of general criteria. For instance, Hivos supports organisations in a limited number of countries. Also, support is given only to organisations who are working within the seven Hivos sectors. Furthermore, organisations need to be non-gouvernmental, secular, professional and result-oriented.
Here you can find the documents about the Hivos Policy framework which deals with improved result orientation and result assessment. The Policy framework consists of five parts.
