Here you can find the documents about the Hivos Policy framework which deals with improved result orientation and result assessment. The Policy framework consists of five parts.
Hivos Policy
Hivos does not believe that one uniform model or format for result assessment can accommodate all partners. Hivos therefore follows an approach to result assessment that allows for diversity and flexibility and makes use of methods and (context-specific) indicators that are proposed by partners and are meaningful and relevant to them.
Partner organisations are expected to shape their process of result orientation and result assessment in a way that suits their organisation, their needs for management information and learning, and that is relevant in their context. In their funding proposal to Hivos they are requested to describe this process and to present a clear outline of:
the main methods they use to assess if and to what extent they have achieved the intended results.
After discussion of and agreement on these elements they become part of the contract between Hivos and the partner. In its language and approach Hivos uses basic elements of Results-Based Management and Logframe analysis, but it does not demand of partners to submit their programmes in a Logframe format.
DAC glossary
Here you can find the DAC glossary of Key Terms in Evaluation and Results Based Management as the basis for the terminology in its policies and communication around result orientation and result assessment.
The glossary is available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
