The Social Accountability Kenya program has reached the end of its funding period and is now finalized.

To improve transparency and accountability in government and increase public participation in political and development processes using digital media and technology.

Why

Government transparency and open access to public information (through technology) are necessary in order for citizens to become fully engaged in the democratic process and proactively help end corruption and engender accountability in leadership.

How

The project will use open data, digital media and technology to enhance transparency and accountability and will bring citizens, particularly the marginalized, and civil society organizations closer to policy making process through data visualization.
