Hivos implements projects through its four Regional Hubs (in Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Indonesia) and its Global Office based in the Netherlands. The Global Office provides the Regional Hubs with a number of services, including in the financial area. As Financial Manager you play an important role in supporting Regional Hubs, coordinating global processes and leading the Finance team at the Global Office.
As Financial Manager you ensure that corporate budget objectives are achieved. The Financial Manager prepares corporate budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analysing, and consolidating financial data and preparing month-end, quarter-end and yearly financial statements. The Financial Manager is first in line to safeguard financial assets by implementing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems; oversees cash and operating capital, monitors cash flow and projections and prepares month-end, quarter-end and yearly financial statements, both on corporate and project level. The Financial Manager coordinates the finance team and functionally coaches the Financial Officers in the primary process insofar as their work relates to the corporate accounts. You are responsible for the management information system and the worldwide periodic closing of accounts. You are also responsible for preparing external audits.
You have a master degree in Business Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experiences of working in complex financial environments. You have expertise in accounting, business economics and building ERP.MIS systems. You have work experience in an international environment.
You are an accurate, customer orientated team player who is cooperative, able to influence and shows leadership. You live in the Netherlands, you are EU citizen or have a valid residence and work permit for the Netherlands.
What we offer
We offer a stimulating work environment in a professional international organization with very dedicated staff. Employment is offered as soon as possible for the period of one year with possible extension for a longer period. Depending on your experience your salary will be € 3.580,- up to a maximum of € 4.880,- gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek and Hivos scale 12. Travel costs are compensated in accordance with Hivos Regulations. We offer participation in the pension fund.
